MIRAI 2.0 R&I Week 2023 

Posters

We welcome all participants (researchers, students, university representatives, funding agency representatives, industry representatives etc.) to submit a poster for conference.
The posters will be displayed at the conference venue throughout the week and on Monday, November 13, there will be a dedicate slot in the program for “Poster session Kick-off” to mingle around the posters. All authors are requested to stand by their poster during the poster session kick-off, to answer questions and engage in discussions. There will also be a pitch session where a few excellent posters will be selected for a live three-minute pitch presentation.
Prizes will be awarded for the best poster and the best poster-pitch session.
The poster session is a great opportunity to showcase your research and meet new potential collaborators.


How to join the poster session:

Registered participants will be able to submit their posters by uploading it via our online form between September 27-October 8. Link to online form where you submit your poster will be sent to all registered participants after the registration deadline.

 Printing and format:

For your convenience we’ll print and display all posters so that you do not need to carry it with you. The poster that you upload must meet the following requirements:

  • The poster must be one (1) page in .PDF format

  • The poster will be printed in size width 700mm* height 1000mm (make sure that the dimension of your poster is correct).

 Timeline:
  • 27 September: Registration for Research and Innovation week close

  • 27 September: All registered participants will receive an email with link to the poster registration

  • 8 October: Poster registration deadline

  • 12-25 October: The thematic groups (TEG/IEAG) within MIRAI will review all posters and select a few excellent posters for the pitch-session.

  • 27 OctoberThe MIRAI team will contact selected poster authors with an offer to present the poster at the pitch session.

Coffee Break & Poster session kick-off

This time is completely devoted to mingling around the posters that will be displayed throughout the R&I week. All authors are requested to stand by their poster, ready to answer questions and engage in discussions – a great opportunity to showcase your research and meet new potential collaborators. The R&I week participants can vote on their favorite poster and the winner of the “best poster award” will be announced at the welcome reception later in the evening.

15:15 - 17:00

Poster Pitch-session

Can you explain the value of your research to a stranger in just three minutes and with just one slide?

 A few excellent posters within each thematic area will be selected for a short three-minute pitch presentation. If your poster is selected you’ll be contacted by the R&I week team on Oct 25 with an offer to present your poster in three minutes at the poster pitch-session.

 This is a great opportunity to sharpen your presentation skills and to practice communicating your research to a wider audience. A jury will evaluate all presentations and the winner of the “best pitch award” will be announced at the welcome reception later in the evening.

 This session is divided thematically into 15-minute blocks to allow the audience to move between the parallel sessions.
